Close on the heel of the crocuses, the daffodils came out to play - and to cheer up Edinburghers everywhere. Daffodils can be found everywhere right now in this city - all over the Castle Mound, in manicured public parks, in window boxes, by roadsides, along football (soccer) fields, in the market place and subsequently gracing vases in homes.
